Objective Projection
Nesnel İzdüşümObjective Projection is the core parametric methodology of the Bulut Doctrine, developed by Levent Bulut. It encodes emotional states through six measurable physical variables instead of cortical emotion labels, targeting the pre-cortical thalamo-amygdala pathway (~12 ms latency) rather than slower cortical interpretation. The methodology is the foundation of Narrative Engineering and marks a paradigm shift from T.S. Eliot's Objective Correlative to physics-based narrative construction.
The Six Physical Variables
Instead of naming an emotion, Objective Projection specifies the physical conditions that produce it in the reader's autonomic system. Each scene is constructed as a physical matrix across six parameters:
- Luminous DecayControlled attenuation of light intensity across the scene, analyzed empirically in Goethe's Werther (DOI 10.5281/zenodo.18478758).
- Thermal GradientTemperature differentials as carriers of emotional charge, from ambient cold to thermal discharge at narrative climax.
- Acoustic ImpedanceResistance and transmission properties of sound within the narrative space.
- Kinetic MomentumMass and velocity of moving bodies and objects as measurable narrative force.
- Atmospheric PressureBarometric and spatial pressure conditions shaping the reader's somatic response.
- Spatial GeometryProportions, distances, and enclosure of the narrative space as a projective parameter.
Empirical Verification
The methodology is verified through the Objective Projection Calibration Test (OPCT). Version 1.0 established the neurobiological and methodological framework; version 2.0 tests biophysical output convergence across multiple authors, with an open call for independent researchers (DOI 10.5281/zenodo.19508002).
